The National Center on Secondary Education and Transition (NCSET) is an affiliated center of the Institute on Community Integration (ICI), University of Minnesota. It was originally funded by a 5-year, $9.5 million award from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs, from October 1, 2000 - September 20, 2006. The center's mission is to ensure that students with disabilities throughout the U.S. transition from high school to the adult world prepared to successfully participate in postsecondary education, enter meaningful employment, and contribute to their communities. After its federal funding ended in 2006, it continued as an affiliated center of ICI, primarily focusing on disseminating its existing materials through its Web site (http://www.ncset.org) and producing a twice-monthly e-newsletter, NCSET E-News, that shares information about resources of organizations around the country whose work is consistent with its mission. This archival collection is comprised of the publications and other resources NCSET produced during its lifespan.
