Between Dec 19, 2024 and Jan 2, 2025, datasets can be submitted to DRUM but will not be processed until after the break. Staff will not be available to answer email during this period, and will not be able to provide DOIs until after Jan 2. If you are in need of a DOI during this period, consider Dryad or OpenICPSR. Submission responses to the UDC may also be delayed during this time.

Abstract

These data contain a bi-level model for determining how a state planner can efficiently allocate inspection resources to county managers, who independently decide where to locate inspection stations. We apply the model to a hypothetical allocation problem for the state of Minnesota. The model includes the infestation status of 9,182 lakes, of which 471 are infested with zebra mussel, starry stonewort, or Eurasian watermilfoil, and estimates of annual numbers of high-risk boat movements from infested to uninfested lakes.

Description

These data contain the bi-level integer programming model as GAMS code, numbers of boat movements between pairs of lakes, and lake infestation status. The excel file is a list of 9,182 lakes in MN by county showing UTM coordinates and the 2019 infestation status for zebra mussels, starry stonewort, and Eurasian watermilfoil.
