Abstract

We combined laboratory experiments and coupled numerical simulations to study the hyporheic exchange process within an emergent vegetation canopy in a channel with a permeable bed.

Description

The dataset comprises data obtained from the flume experiments and numerical simulations. The data includes the measured and simulated surface flow velocity around vegetation stems and the results of dye/scalar exchange tests. Flume experiments also provide dye visualization of the vegetation-induced hyporheic exchange. Experimental files include .mat, .m, and .tiff. Simulation data files include .mat.
