Gravitational Waves 2010
Persistent link for this collection
The "Gravitational Waves" workshop will bring together both theorists and experimentalists with a wide range of expertise to discuss the status of current and future gravitational-wave detectors, results of recent searches for gravitational-wave signals, and the interplay between theory and ongoing and future experiments. Topics to be covered at the workshop include:
Numerical Relativity
Ground-based gravitational-wave detectors
Results of searches for gravitational-wave signals
Satellite-based gravitational-wave detectors
Third-generation ground-based gravitational-wave detectors
Pulsar timing and gravitational waves
Astrophysical and cosmological sources
Tests of relativity
Tests of short-range gravity
By bringing together theorists and experimentalists from diverse subfields we hope to stimulate discussion and inspire forward-looking research in the field of gravitational waves.
The workshop is sponsored by the William I. Fine Theoretical Physics Institute and organized with the Cosmology Group in the School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Minnesota.
