Groundbreaking for a new, on-campus Gopher football stadium in October 2006 was preceded by years of planning and research. In 2006-2007, the University administration deposited selected stadium-related documents at the Reserve/Periodicals Unit of the Wilson Library and also created an "online information repository" of stadium materials. The materials selected include environmental reports and correspondence with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. Additional reports, correspondence, and administrative records concerning this and previous stadium planning efforts are available at the University Archives.
