The Instructional Development Service (IDS) was developed in 1984 as part of the Supportive Services Program, with the purpose of assisting faculty to examine course goals and objectives, evaluate personal instructional styles and learn about methods used to meet stated goals, explore alternative instructional processes, and provide effective teaching experiences by adapting to the needs of students. By 1998, IDS was housed in the College of Education and Human Service Professions. The service went “on hiatus” in 2014 and has not yet been restarted.
