Abstract
In this episode, Marjorie interviews Margaret Spencer who has extensive experience as a social worker, as a 'mother' supporting a mother with intellectual disabilities (Beth & Lily's mother) and as a researcher. She brings forward the issues of using or relying on parenting capacity assessments, how our beliefs on capacity affects our views, how offering a supportive environment is possible and makes a big difference in the lives of families headed by parents with intellectual disabilities.
