Abstract

Multiple dimensions of social system structure and technology were examined as correlates of employee perceptions and descriptions of job design. Static and lagged analysis indicate that the structural features of the social systems in which the job is located, and components of the technology employed by that social system are significantly associated with employee job design perceptions and descriptions.
