Abstract
Over the counter pain medications such as ibuprofen are commonly used to treat acute pain caused by Achilles tendinitis. Studies have not conclusively supported this therapy, but have demonstrated that medications such as ibuprofen may provide modest decrease of short term pain symptoms and result in earlier return to activity.
