Why is it that most politicians in America are so much better off than the people who elect them? How are our laws and politics impacted by the fading number of lawmakers who are blue collar workers? Nicholas Carnes, Duke University professor, is joined by former carpenter and current Senate Majority Leader Thomas Bakk (DFL) and farmer and current Representative Debra Kiel (R). Former Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher, who also grew up on a farm, is moderating.
