Abstract

How can we apply engineering to dog training? Margo Bowerman uses her training experience with her dog, Orrie, as an inspiration to discuss the critical elements necessary to teach problem solving to young people. The four critical elements are A System, Feedback, Time and Team. She describes how we CAN "teach an old dog new tricks" as we teach problem-solving skills in youth development programs
