The University must commit substantial new funds to support faculty compensation and to provide additional family friendly benefits....The University must invest strategically in resources, people, and systems that support faculty scholarship.... The documents (preliminary report and executive summary) provide advice on improving systems on campus to improve recruitment, hiring and retention, as well as to improve the culture of research, teaching and inquiry at the University of Minnesota.
