Abstract

The Institute's monthly staff newsletter featuring news of recent activities, accomplishments, and resources. This month's feature stories are about an Impact article that connected the co-author to a young Ukrainian refugee who was struggling to adjust to a local kindergarten, a report of a national survey by ICI and the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals that shows that anxiety and depression are surging among direct support workers, the Minnesota Gathering on October 25-26, and how students gain a deeper understanding of disability through ICI's Disability Policy and Services Certificate. This month's alumni update is about Julie Anderson (MNLEND 2016-17) who is innovating state programs in Massachusetts to better serve families and children with disabilities.
