Abstract

Description

Four communities in Southern Minnesota took park in an 11 month study. The four communities were Blue Earth, Fairmont, Jackson, and Worthington. Visitors placed a high importance on scenic driving and site seeing, as well as nature based attractions including county parks and the natural environment. This marks the importance of marketing the area's natural surroundings. Efforts should be undertaken to create scenic byways in the area but only for those highways with exceptional aesthetic qualities.
