Abstract

Alopecia is the medical term for hairloss or baldness. Androgenetic alopecia is hair loss due to changes in hormones, thinning of hair follicles, and decreased time for hair growth. Topical minoxidil (Rogaine) is a safe and effective treatment for patients with androgenetic alopecia.
