Abstract

The Institute's monthly newsletter featuring news of recent activities, accomplishments, and resources. This month's first feature story is on the new issue of Impact, which is about sexuality and gender identity. The second story is about ICI director Amy Hewitt's recent trip to Taiwan to help lead a conference there on inclusive community living for people with disabilities. The third story is about the new Frontline Initiative on direct support professionals using the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals' Code of Ethics in their work. The fourth story is about a recent ICI report on COVID-19's heavy toll on the direct support workforce. The final story announces the update of the website of ICI’s longest-running research study— the Residential Information Systems Project. This month's alumni update is about MNLEND fellow Archita Jain, who is training to be a dentist so she can provide better oral health care to people with disabilities.
