Abstract
These are paleolimnology Excel data files for eight sediment cores. Four of the sediment cores were collected from Lake Kabetogama (Minnesota) and four of them were collected from Lake Mille Lacs (Minnesota) during lake ice-covered periods in 2017 and 2018. There are three types of Excel data files for each of the eight sediment cores including: 1) Lead 210 age estimates for sediment core horizons, 2) Loss on ignition estimates for sediment core horizons, and 3) Fossil recovery information for Bythotrephes exoskeletal remains (mandibles, caudal spines, and resting eggs) for sediment core horizons. These data were used as part of a study to identify dates of first presence and early growth of the invasive species Bythotrephes in two Minnesota lakes.
