Abstract
This dataset consists of (1) CMIP5 climate projections from 8 global climate models through the 21st century, downscaled with the Weather Research Forecast model, output into time series for the model grid cell containing the Minneapolis-St Paul International airport, and (2) spatial synoptic classifications for this climate dataset, under RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 emissions scenarios.
Description
1. Dynamically downscaled climate data for the Minneapolis-St Paul International airport used as input to the spatial synoptic classification algorithm.
Data contains twenty years of daily climate data dynamically downscaled from 8 global climate models for each of two emissions scenarios. Data includes the RCP4.5 scenario which is valid for the middle of the 21st century (circa 2040-2059), the RCP4.5 scenario which is valid for the end of the 21st century (circa 2080-2099), and the RCP8.5 scenario which is valid for the end of the 21st century (circa 2080-2099).
2. Spatial synoptic classifications for each day of the climate dataset described above.
Please see detailed documentation included with the data files.
