Abstract

Helicobacter pylori is a prevalent, chronic worldwide infection. It can cause gastritis, dyspepsia and peptic ulcer disease. It is also a major risk factor in the development of gastric adenocarcinoma and gastric MALT lymphoma. The purpose of this pamphlet is to provide patients with information about H pylori including some signs and symptoms of infection, indications for testing, types of tests and information regarding treatment strategies.
