To press successfully toward the goal of becoming a top three institution, the University must better leverage current disciplinary strengths in the study of global issues; support crossdisciplinary and cross-collegiate international initiatives; pursue a network of external partnerships/alliances with research organizations and other institutions in strategic regions of the world; emphasize international experiences of students, faculty, and staff; and structure institutional processes and programs to accommodate, encourage, and facilitate research and study of global issues.
