Abstract

The Vaccine Awareness Conversation Guide is useful for staff in recovery centers and other mental health programs to have motivating discussions about vaccines, infectious disease, and making connections to recovery. The resource has seven topical guides highlighting self care, how self care helps others, supporting recovery, vaccine decisions, understanding risk, vaccine development, and vaccine access. Use one guide at a time to have brief conversations, and then move on to other guides. Go back to already used guides to discuss successes and challenges. The guides are designed to be flexible tools used by anyone, regardless of their background or training in health topics.
