Abstract

What are ways that we can make Math exciting for young people through STEM programming? Educators and volunteers who lead experiences in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) in non-formal and after-school settings will gain ideas on how to help youth overcome the negative attitudes they may have about math. Michael discusses how to connect mathematics to the activities and interests youth are passionate about while providing opportunities to influence math-related careers.
