Abstract
This project was completed as part of the 2013-2014 Resilient Communities Project (rcp.umn.edu) partnership with the City of North St. Paul. As a result of heavy storms, the City of North St. Paul needed to address stormwater management in areas around several lakes. Project lead Morgan Dawley partnered with Dr. John Gulliver’s CE 5511: Urban Hydrology course to assess current conditions and recommend management strategies. The students used different software programs to determine cost-effective solutions. Based on this work, they determined that street sweeping was an affordable and efficient option. This is one of three projects completed on this topic in this course. The final report, presentation, and poster are available.
