Abstract

This case study follows organic growers of day-neutral (DN) strawberries in Northfield, MN. The growers use five caterpillar tunnels (CTs) and harvest approximately 5,300 pounds of fresh organic strawberries annually with annual gross sales totaling $47,000. The case study covers production methods, labor tasks, marketing, performance and a complete production budget.
