Item Agrarian Politics in Interwar Austria(University of Minnesota, Center for Austrian Studies, 1992-02) Miller, JamesItem Bedrock Geology Map of Homer Lake and Adjacent Areas: Cook County, Northeastern Minnesota(2009-08) Blakely, Samuel W.F; Brown, Amy L; Foley, Daniel J; Rowland, Aaron B; Stifter, Eric; Miller, JamesItem Bedrock Geology Map of Homer Lake and Adjacent Areas: Cook County, Northeastern Minnesota(2007-08) Frost, Shelby; Juda, Natalie A; Miller, JamesItem Bedrock Geology Map of Jack Lake and Weird Lake Areas, Cook County, Northeastern Minnesota(2010-08) Brooker, Ben P; Hadley, Max L; Markwood, Levi W; Olson, Jeffrey; Tomlinson, Alexander P; Miller, JamesItem Bedrock Geology Map of the Wilder Lake Intrusion, Lake County, Norteastern Minnesota(2012-08) LaPietra, Emily; Martin, Zach; Martinez, Ricardo; Leu, Adam; Djon, Lionnel; Miller, JamesThis map was created by PRC students under the guidance of Jim Miller, University of Minnesota Duluth, over an eleven day period between August 5-16, 2012. The purpose of this map is to exemplify new data collected and advance previous research of the Wilder Lake Intrusion. The objective of our study was to recognize rock types by textural characteristics and understand the cross-cutting relationships of the layered intrusion.Item Bedrock Geology of the Cherokee Lake Area, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Cook County, Minnesota(2015-08) Balles, Aaron; Brown, Ellie; Helms, Ryan; Miller, James; Penzel, Greta; Smith, Lukas RThis map was compiled based on the mapping of over 300 outcrops over the course of 4 days under the supervision of Dr. Jim Miller. Five students, along with Dr. Miller, mapped outcrop along the shorelines of Cherokee Lake and Town Lake in order to better understand the lithostratigraphy, contact relationships, and other features of the Duluth Complex and Brule Lake - Hovland Complex. (Brooker and Miller, 2013).Item Bedrock Geology of the Lake Three Troctolite in the Pagami Creek Burn Area BWCAW Lake County Minnesota(2013-08) Benningfield, Jordan; Graham, Jackson; Kozmor, Sara; Prue, Ann Marie; Sauer, Sarah; Miller, JamesThis map was produced based on 420 outcrops which were mapped over a four day period under the supervision of Dr. James D. Miller. Four students along with a TA and Dr. Miller mapped the southern shore of Lake Three of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Lake County, Minnesota in order to establish a better understanding of the contact relationships of the Anorthositic Series of the Duluth Complex and the Lake Three Troctolite which is a discrete unit of the Layered Series of the Duluth Complex. Building on previous shoreline mapping (Miller, J.D., 1986), several traverses inland were completed to determine the extent of the Lake Three Troctolite, establish the contacts with the Anorthositic Series and describe the internal structure and lithology of the Lake Three Troctolite. Based on the four days of field work this 1: 10,000 scale map and cross section were produced for use in future research projects.Item Bedrock Geology of the North and South Temperance Lakes Area, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Cook County, Minnesota(2014-08) Beaver, Christopher; Hahn, Timothy, Jr; Miller, Nikolas; Pugliese, Joseph; Wright, Erick; Miller, JamesThis map was compiled based on the mapping of over 850 outcrops over the course of 5 days under the supervision of Dr. Jim Miller. Five students, along with Dr. Miller, mapped outcrop along the shorelines of North Temperance Lake and South Temperance Lake, in order to better understand the lithostratigraphy, contact relationships, and other features comprising an as yet unnamed ma c layered intrusion that forms the footwall to the Sawbill Lake intrusion mapped in previous capstone projects (Brooker and Miller, 2013).Item Bedrock Geology of the Sawbill Lake Area(2011-08) Asp, Kris; Leu, Adam; Parisi, Andrew; Sletten, Dan; Brooker, Ben; Miller, James
