Flexible forms of work scheduling have been advanced as one means by which mothers can gain entry to the work force, while simultaneously balancing their domestic responsibilities. It was found in this study that increased flexibility provided by flexible work schedules is significantly related to the expressed likelihood of mothers accepting full-time employment. Managerial implications are discussed.
