Item Conditions Assessment for the Andrew Peterson Farmstead(Resilient Communities Project (RCP), University of Minnesota, 2015) Anderson, Peggy; Sanchez, Alejandro; Alqari, Mohamed; Counts, Fred; Drolet, Anne; Engle, Holly; Holstad, Joel; Kinney, Elizabeth; Rempfert, Jenna; Ward, Sarah; Young, Alexandr; Zeeb, LisaThis project was completed as part of the 2015-2016 Resilient Communities Project (rcp.umn.edu) partnership with Carver County. The Andrew Peterson Farmstead, located near the city of Waconia, is a site with great historic significance. The Carver County Historical Society (CCHS) was in the process of restoring a number of historic buildings on the Peterson Farm. The goal of this project was to help inform ongoing restoration and preservation efforts at the farmstead. In partnership with CCHS project lead Wendy Petersen-Biorn, students in ARCH 5672: Historic Building Conservation, assessed the condition of five structures on the farm and offered restoration and preservation recommendations for each of the structures. The students' final report and poster are available.Item Welcome Home: North St. Paul 7th Avenue Park Apartments(Resilient Communities Project (RCP), University of Minnesota, 2014) Howg, Karly; Anderson, Peggy; Mercil, TrevorThis project was completed as part of the 2013-2014 Resilient Communities Project (rcp.umn.edu) partnership with the City of North St. Paul. North St. Paul created a Redevelopment Master Plan for the City, and identified live/work housing as a priority. The goal of the project was to determine the feasibility of this type of development. Project lead Paul Ammerman partnered with students in Becky Yust and Lyn Bruin’s HSG 4461: Housing Development and Management course to create a development proposal for potential live/work developments.
