The presidency of Barack Obama and Republican efforts to set the country's direction in congressional and state elections have prompted debate among Republicans about the Party's political strategies and policy positions moving forward. Should the Party change its message or "soften" its positions on immigration reform, health reform, and fiscal issues to broaden its appeal among voters? Or, should the Party strengthen its commitments to liberty and minimal government to earn the respect of voters and protect the conservative interpretation of the Constitution? Influential figures in the Minnesota Republican Party and the grassroots conservative movement will join a public forum to discuss these issues.
