Abstract

The author describes how she used academic research, family interviews, along with creative writing to evoke, conjure, her dead grandmother, whom she did not know, to life. The paper speaks about one's emotional truth, or subjective view, and how that can lead to family stories told often due to the emotional connection to the story.
