Associated events included a silent vigil, a showing of the film, "Palestine Occupied," a lecture from Ahmed Al-Afendi, Chairman of the Political Science Department at Winona State University and a Palestine Dinner hosted at the Minneapolis YWCA. The featured key speaker was Dr. Hatem Husseini, Head of the Arab Information Center in Washington, D.C.
