Abstract

Interested in practicing medicine? Dr. Lakhan will share her path to PA school. From waiting tables, applying to MD and PA programs, choosing which program to accept (MD or PA), all the way to becoming an Otorhinolaryngology surgical PA. She will explore why a Chemistry degree (or biology, or physics...) and a summer medical mission trip are not enough to get you into a career in medicine. She will also discuss the ups and downs of following one’s dream and not losing site of what makes you, you—interesting.
