Abstract
Description
The purpose of this report was to determine two to three forest products from north/central Minnesota certified land, with the intention of identifying the best markets for these products, and the best strategies for reaching those markets. Initially, six products and species were selected as the most promising, from which flooring, paneling and pallets came out as the top products, ash, oak, birch and aspen as the top species. The methodology used was to first identify the markets for these products, then to survey the purchasers of wood products in those markets via phone interviews. The report is prioritized around the survey findings for each market for these three products. The surveys are included in the appendixes at the end of the report.
