Abstract
This thesis is an analysis and explanation of my thoughts, techniques, and opinions on my latest work entitled “Haze”. In it, I will discuss the Harmony, Melody, Motivic Development, Orchestration, and my use of Repetition. I hope to use this format to further my understanding of my composition methods and tools to continue to improve myself as a composer, and orchestrator. I will also discuss my personal connection to the piece as well as what drives the previously mentioned sections.
