Abstract

Description

In my 3,116-word review essay "Laura Field's 2025 Book Furious Minds: The Making of the MAGA New Right, and Walter J. Ong's Thought," I succinctly highlight Laura Field's 2025 book. I discuss her extensive claim about the misogyny of the MAGA New Right. I also use the work of my former teacher the American Jesuit cultural historian Walter J. Ong (1912-2003; Ph.D. in English, Harvard University, 1955) of Saint Louis University, where, over the years, I took five courses from him. In addition, I succinctly highlight my life and work, with special attention to my eleven controversial OEN articles in 2024 and 2025.
