Abstract

Objective: To assist Van Technologies, Inc. in the development of environmentally compliant wood coatings. The focus of the project was on the development of a water-based conversion topcoat conforming to Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) standards and colorant selection for use in the development of a tinted water-based topcoat and a tinted ultraviolet (UV) curable topcoat, and additional stain colors in both water-base and UV curable systems.
