Abstract
Teaching and Learning in STEM is a series of stand-alone workshops geared towards faculty from the Swenson College of Science and Engineering. Each session will be presented by STEM faculty and will focus on pedagogy and research in the disciplines. All faculty are welcome to attend. Inquiry-Based Learning & Critical Thinking focuses on the role of experimental design and laboratory work in training students to think like scientists.
Description
Inquiry-based learning places the emphasis on having students ask questions and design experiments to find answers, encouraging them to think and act like scientists. Join us for discussion of inquiry-based approaches and their roles in classroom and laboratory teaching.
