Abstract

The purpose of this project was to begin the development of an equation relating the oxygen partial pressure and temperature of perfluorohexyloctane (F6H8) using 16.4 Tesla MRS. This work is significant in many respects. Specifically, the equation found will be used to test the viability of islet implant grafts. These grafts are being developed in the hopes of becoming a treatment for type 1 diabetes.
