This report summarizes the Fourth Annual Symposium on the Impacts of Logistics on the Upper Midwest Economy, held in Bloomington on September 11, 2000: keynote presentation “A Model for Achieving Supply Chain Effectiveness” by Christopher B. Lofgren; a panel titled “Urgent Concerns and Issues Facing Freight Transportation” moderated by Frederick Beier with panelists Tom Wintz, Doug Restemayer, Jerry Flaherty; a panel titled “The Role of Government—Practical Applications/Practical Solutions” moderated by Jim Barton with panelists Harry Caldwell, Alan Harger, Ross Thorfinnson Jr.; closing by Robert Johns.
