Abstract

As they apply to Morocco, these three scholars will speak, respectively, on encounters between Islam and feminism, the minority question and expressions of resistance to authoritarianism, and the role of the Moussem (a sacred religious feast) in allowing non-conventional, non-normative behavior to challenge the sacred order and body politic. They will also touch upon other topics as it relates to the government and various aspects of the Moroccan society.
