Abstract

From March 9-17, 2019, Wallace and Hilgeman traveled in Oaxaca with a delegation of the Witness for Peace Solidarity Collective. There they met with Oaxacan civic organizations that are working on a wide range of issues such as preserving indigenous cultures and traditions, sustainable agriculture, reforestation, fighting mining concessions on communal lands, women’s rights, migration, and much more. In this presentation, they will share what they learned and and information about the projects that inspired them.
