Abstract

Description

Public education today is faced with the necessity of expanding its facilities at all levels to keep pace with the recent sharp rise in the number of young people in our population. Planning for education in the health professions has to be carried out long in advance because the period of professional training is so long. Furthermore, the need for expanded educational facilities in this area is not conditioned entirely by the projected demand for admission but is determined to an important degree by the health requirements of the population.
