Abstract

This project was completed as part of the 2013-2014 Resilient Communities Project (rcp.umn.edu) partnership with the City of North St. Paul. Formerly home to an active arts council, the City of North St. Paul was interested in engaging residents around public art planning. Project lead Jon Fure worked with Virajita Singh’s LS 5100: Design Thinking course to identify strategies for engaging residents in the public art planning process. The students used design thinking strategies to get residents involved and create a stronger sense of community in the city. The final report is available.
