In my 3,700-word review essay "Ronald F. Inglehart on Religion's Recent Decline, and Walter J. Ong's Thought," I highlight, on the one hand, Inglehart's new 2021 book Religion's Sudden Decline: What's Causing It, and What Comes Next? (New York: Oxford University Press) and, on the other hand, Ong's mature thought from the early 1950s onward in his long and productive life.
