Abstract

Description

The election of Barack Obama arguably toppled the race barrier to becoming president. What are the hurdles facing the election of a woman to the White House, and how can they be overcome? How will a woman president strengthen our country and communities? Our panel will be headlined by author Marianne Schnall, who interviewed Democrats, Republicans, and other key voices in American civic life to write her new book, What Will It Take to Make a Woman President? Conversations About Women, Leadership & Power. Ms. Schnall will be joined by a cross-section of Minnesota leaders from business and state government including Marianne Short, Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at UnitedHealth Group and Senator Julie Rosen. Moderated by Lori Sturdevant, columnist at the Star Tribune.
