Abstract
Partial degradation of ferrocene-1,1'- dicarboxylic acid (FdcH2) in a MeOH/ H2O system results in formation of a very unusual neutral (Fdc)6Fe7(µ4-O)(µ3-OMe) clusters, which were characterized by x-ray crystallography and elemental analysis.
