Abstract
In my 3,100-word review essay "John Fraim's 2020 Review of Marshall McLuhan's 1999 Book on Religion, and Walter J. Ong's Thought," I highlight John Fraim's 2020 review in the new online journal New Explorations: Studies in Culture & Communication, volume 1, number 2 (Autumn 2020) of the Canadian Catholic convert Marshall McLuhan's posthumously published 1999 book The Medium and the Light: Reflections on Religion, edited by Eric McLuhan [Marshall and Corinne McLuhan's eldest son] and Jacek Szlarek [a Roman Catholic priest] (Toronto and New York: Stoddart Publishing, 1999). In addition, I highlight relevant points in the thought of the American Jesuit Walter J. Ong (1912-2003), the Canadian Jesuit Bernard Lonergan (1904-1984), and the German Jesuit Karl Rahner (1904-1984).
