Abstract

In my 3,400-word review essay "Richard V. Reeves' 2022 Book Of Boys and Men, and Walter J. Ong's Thought," I first of all highlight the thought of the American Jesuit Renaissance specialist and pioneering media ecology theorist Walter J. Ong (1912-2003; Ph.D. in English, Harvard University, 1955). Next, I highlight the thought of Richard V. Reeves of the Brookings Institution in his 2022 book Of Boys and Men: Why the Modern Male Is Struggling, Why It Matters, and What to Do about It (Brookings Institution Press).
