Abstract

Description

The Cotton Park Restoration Committee is authorized by the city of Coleraine and was looking for a way to develop a master plan for this neglected park on the shores of Trout Lake. Cotton Park abuts the City of Bovey on the east and Coleraine's dominant Longyear Park on the west. The park currently has a public boat landing, a swimming beach (which has been closed for two years), some vintage playground equipment, and open space. The property is shared by the city's firehall and waterworks pumphouse. This master plan is intended to focus those developments in ways to improve the entire park, as well as facilitate acquisitions of additional funds to make the park a real asset to the community.
