Abstract

On November 6, 2012, Minnesota became the first state in the country to defeat a constitutional amendment to limit marriage equality. Focusing on the proposed marriage amendment, this thesis explores how the arts can be involved in social and political issues. Working together or with outside disciplines, the arts can be an asset to advocacy or campaign efforts.
