The primary criteria for including an item in this abstract from University Senate and Faculty Senate minutes were (1) it was important historically, (2) it dealt with the process of governance and consultation, (3) it was just interesting, or (4) it is a subject that continues to be discussed. This abstract does not include routine constitution and bylaw amendments, committee memberships, memorials, most of the presidents' reports, Faculty Consultative Committee and Senate Consultative Committee chair reports, faculty legislative liaison reports, routine policy amendments, and so on.
